Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
In all the speakers I have heard over the years, this one I remember like yesterday. Very cheap for the magic they deliver.

Strengths:
The most open, spacious, room filling sound I can remember. Really excells with the female voice at low to medium volumes; a real head turner.

Weaknesses:
Really geared to certain music types. Don''t recommend for heavy drive requirements. Thi sis a very special speaker; it sounds like nothing else.

Similar Products Used:
I''ve hears it all; I should have bought the pair when I had the opportunity; now I have to find some used ones.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $650.00 from top audio

Summary:
I never expected such a revealing and magical quality to the speakers. Such pureness, tight but low bass lines, and fatigue free listening.

Not for your metal or rave head banger.

Superb for those with refined tastes in audio reproduction.

completely recommended. sorry that theyre no longer made, though ES15 might be just as good ?

Strengths:
a serious high end loudspeaker at silly money.

Weaknesses:
priced to low ?

Similar Products Used:
various high end designs.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $750.00 from Sevenoaks Hi-Fi

Summary:
An excellent speaker but not cheap. Good with a wide range of amplifiers, I use these with a Quad 34/306 Pre & Power combination but have also used them with an old NAD 3020 and they still sound excellent. I bought these secondhand after someone had them for a couple of weeks and didn't like them hence paid 2/3rds of the full price. At the same time I also auditioned a range of speakers from Mission and Wharfedale. These were definitiely the best (even my wife agreed!)
Superb for vocals, especially female vocals and excellent with classical music. These speakers don't sound confused when handling a range of instruments at the same time like some do. Definition is very good. Bass is position sensitive and it took me a couple of attempts to get a good balance since when they haven't moved! I can live with these speakers long-term.

Strengths:
Very musical, can handle anything from classical to rock. Good at low volume as well as high. Excellent vocals, nice bass extension without thumping.

Weaknesses:
Need careful positioning at least 30cm away from a wall.

Similar Products Used:
B&W CM2, Mission 750

Marantz MA-9S2 Reference Series Power Amplifiers Review

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
