The model for the XL series. The dual 5-1/2" woofer design offers fast, precise bass response, with higher power handling as an additional benefit. My speakers are now more than two years old and this model obsolete but anyway. These are good looking, easy to intergrate in your home speakers. I like the silver baffle behind the black fabric covers a lot.
Sound is very clean and unboxy and have at the same time a lot of body. They never gets thin or bright. It's a pleasure to play at high preassure and they goes louder than you expect.
Sound is very all-round. There might be other speakers that sounds better with specific music but the XL-250's never sounds bad. Focus is more on the total experience than details. I use them with a Marantz SR-7400 receiver. They sound better this way compared with my previous weaker Sony amp. They needs some power to open up. I always use them with a Energy S-10 sub. Sub and speakers intergare wery well.
