Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Mega

Summary:
I've bought these Speakers, i've broght them home, I've tried them. ...And i never listen on them again for one year... From the first look they are very good made. Bi-Wi! But the sound is so much bulky and unfocused with so called 'BOOMY-Bass' (which i hate most). But in the other hand they've been so cheep and cute(!?) After a while i had a big problems with my old BNS-Speakers in my living room( Tweeter is collapsed) And i have not other option, but take a better look at my ELTAX... I've Bi-wired them, I've put them on a good heavy metal stands. With 50 cm distance from rear walls... And I was on Heaven! NO BOOMY BASS, SPACE and CLARITY, GOOD FOCUSED, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST IMPORTANT FOR ME GOOD STEREO IMAGE! In one word - Good Overall Perfomance Not the best choice for studio monitors, but increadibly good in Living Rooms Stereo Sets!

Strengths:
Airy Sound Good Made Price Look

Weaknesses:
Very much needed GOOD adjustment Without tuning just bot possible to use!

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Richer Sounds

Summary:
I was recommended these speakers by the shop assistant as good speakers for my studio, they are absolute rubbish. Good stereo speakers for parties but useless for nearfield studio monitoring. Flabby bass and poor hf response, very middly at low volumes. A waste of money.

Strengths:
Good punchy speakers for parties and general domestic entertainment.

Weaknesses:
Too middly. Useless for professional monitoring.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Richer Sounds

Summary:
I bought these speakers about 18 months ago to use as monitors in my studio, and i've been impressed by their sound quality overall, if a little irritated by their treble rolloff which seems to start about 7000hz. the bass is generally nice and punchy, although it can seem a little flabby at mid to low levels. all in all, they're great hifi speakers, but they do colour the treble quite significantly.

Strengths:
nice punchy bass at high volumes, nice overall sound

Weaknesses:
colouring of treble sometimes creates slightly dull sound

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
