Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $2000.00 from Direct from Ed Frias

Summary:
I have not heard a speaker that can rival these in articulation and detail...not to mention accuracy, richness, and as the other reviewer said, “imaging and dynamics”. I have not sat in front of speakers (until now) that have the ability to make you completely forget the source and draw you in as if you were there live. I struck at the perfect time with these and only paid $2,000.00 instead of $2890. I was ready to pay $5,000 for a pair of Vienna Acoustics but a friend of mine auditioned his EFE AR.COM DIY speakers that he built and convinced me to buy these. I am very happy I ended up going with the T-50 towers. I was a bit nervous at first, not having even heard these speakers. But once we got everything set up, all the apprehension melted away, replaced by sheer joy at what I was hearing and the work of art that sat in front of me on the left and on the right.

I also purchased the matched EFE T-20 center channel -- again, absolutely blown away by the sound quality and value of this speaker. I will be buying a pair of the EFE B-15 speakers for my surrounds.

I recommend these speakers to the discerning listener...I recommend them to anyone for that matter. You will not be disappointed.

Strengths:
Accuracy
Richness
Imaging
"Being there"
Dynamics
Articulation
Detail
Beautiful Construction, amazing piano black finish

Weaknesses:
None

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Direct

Summary:
A speaker with the same attributes as its creator, Ed Frias – true, accurate, full of life, one in a million, an absolute rarity. I have never, and I mean NEVER, heard a speaker quite like this. I don’t understand how this speaker can do such things; how ANY apparatus can -- how is it possible? That is not a rhetorical question, I really want to know. I was stunned when I sat down and listened to these – my brain was truly perplexed when I heard piano strings played through these speakers with my eyes closed; I was convinced the sound was coming from a $350,000 Steinway and Sons concert grand piano, played by a master pianist inside a Long Island Hampton’s coastal palace. And when I opened my eyes to see the sound was coming from two cabinets…like I said…perlexion. Other words that come to mind; awe, amazement, dumbstruck, pulsing euphoria, ecstasy, ARRIVAL!

The EFE T-50s have Absolute definition, unmatched imaging and soundstage, lifelike dynamics, and a truly mouth-dropping finish. They are stunning to look at, and if you didn’t know any better, you would just let them sit there for the looks. But no my friends, these were created to dictate man’s greatest audibles – and that’s what they do and do so better than any speaker I have heard, sub 15K. Ed Frias, how did you do it? Bravo.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $2890.00 from EFE Technology

Summary:
After auditioning many speakers and then learning about the speakers from Ed Frias, I decided to take the plunge, and without the benefit of hearing the T-50's, ordered a pair. I was anxious about how they would sound, but when I landed the speaker cables on them, and powered-up my system, my concerns vanished. My impression was and is, to say the least, very favorable. Clean, accurate, room filing, glorious sound. I have auditioned speakers costing upwards of $20,000/pair, and believe me, these can hang in with the best, especially when one considers the price difference. I am happy on all counts, and the wife approves of their looks (and sound), in spite of their size. Prior to purchasing these speakers, I was considering upgrading my whole line-up of gear, but at this point, the sound is such that the urgency to do so is gone. If you are a bang for the buck type of person, consider these T-50's or perhaps other speakers from Mr. Frias. It would be hard for me to imagine being disappointed. An added plus when I purchased the speakers was the fine experience I enjoyed in dealing personally with Ed Frias.

Strengths:
Precise and accurate sound reproduction Attractive cabinetry Big room filling sound Positive purchasing experience Value

Weaknesses:
None

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
After deciding to invest in a high end stereo system, I had opportunity to spend considerable time (many hours over many days) listening to the excellent line of EFE Technology speakers... and gradually developed an "educated" ear... to the point where I was able to discern (oftentimes subtle) differences in various speakers, and appreciate the differences in performance various speakers are able to provide. Now, I suppose that different listeners have (perhaps radically) different ideas of what makes a great sounding speaker... but, if you want "commanding presence" in a speaker (without having to hock the farm to get it)... then the new EFE Technology T-50 tower speaker is something you must consider. You owe it to yourself to check it out! The "commanding presence" of this speaker takes various forms. First... the physical appearance is quite striking with its sleek, glossy, piano-black finish that just seems to have "quality" stamped all over it (kind of like a Concert Grand Piano). And then... there is the sound. Smooth, natural, detailed, expansive, room-filling sound that just totally immerses you in the performance. The bass is riveting... it is deep, clean, precise, and powerful. All in all, these speakers provide an extremely enjoyable listening experience, and it's hard to imagine that anyone could truly be disappointed when listening to them. These speakers will be very hard to beat, and they provide incredible value in a high-end system... whether a 2-channel (music only) system, or as the front left and right speakers in a surround-sound home theatre system.
