Price Paid:  $2000.00 from Dealer

Summary:
I don't know the exact year when I bought these babies, its serial # is a very low 3X. These speakers are not the XL ( extra Low ). I audition many speakers, including many way out of my price range as a reference, and I found that I have a preference for a fast seal type speakers. What can I say about them, I love them and I am very happy to pay within my budget of $2000 CDN instead of $5000 CDN. They really shine when I listen to classical, jazz or blues music with vocals and /or natural instrument and fast percussion. These speakers are excellent for any kind of music as long as it has at least good recording. Its very unforgiving to bad recording, bad equipment and a poor listening room. This speaker is very accurate, fast, highly detail, very 3 deminsional, airy, lifelike and truthful. When my nepfew was about 14 year old he stated that the room seemed bigger when I played my system. Tonal is clean, natural and ssmooth. High to mid bass are balance, neutral and beautiful. In my opinion, these speakers or all the Duntech Classic line should be mated to tubes or tube like sounding equipment. I had them hook up to some of my friends very exspenive Carys 805 mono blocks, Audio research, Jadis mono blocks (cool friends ay)and they sounded awsome. In fact it wasn't out of place. One of my buddies had this need to replace his inferior speakers that cost three times more. At my dealer before I made a purchase, I also audition many others brands such as VTL, YBA 3, Sonic Frontier etc... The build, workmanship, materials and parts used and is solid and of high quality. Its only down fall is the bass, is not low enough for my taste. But its acceptable for a seal box design and if it is match to a proper size room. For dance music, tecno or other types of music that require a heavy bass, you will need a sub for that; Which I have the problem solved. In fact, I strongly believe you need a sub anyway for that kind of music no matter what speaker you use. I have found that I have no desire to replace my speakers unless I move up into a higher tax bracket and purchase a speaker that has smiliar sound qualities and characteristic with a lower bottom end. Hmmmm the Sovereign looks real good. I recommend Duntech Ambassador speaker to anyone except those who listen to only lower bass.

Strengths:
You will get lost when you listen to great music. looks good, you won't go back to any other speakers unless you want to really pay, and read above

Weaknesses:
No lower Bass. Its a big size for its sound. Needs a decent listening room and equipment.

none, only long auditions.
