Strength:

Since i did listen to some other speakers i had to elaborate on my previous reviw. As some already said, it can be boomy. The best part is 20 cm (8") bass. Tweeter is ok, not bad. The sound is ok, but could be a lot better. The sound reminds me of watching the news on TV: Great for voice, but not for serious listening of music. Of course, it was made for HT setup and not for audiophile listening, but i think Dali could put a bit more effort. Like what they did with Concept 6, which is great speaker for the money. Of course it's not the best, but for the money is really great. This is what AXS 5000 lacks.

Weakness:

As some already had written, it can be boomy and the sound is not really balanced. Bass is good, but midrange is totally out of control, too much in the face. Tweeter is ok. That's why i'm giving it just 3 stars.

Strength:

Excellent value! Very good sound quality/ fidelity! Very efficient... little in... plenty out!!

Weakness:

For the money.... nothing! Christ what do you expect for $350US! Probably their reactance with srrounding walls... you need to play with them a bit to get the optimum location.

I have been play and recording music for the past thirty years.... needed a "quality" pair of speakers.... went to the local shop and found these... listened and was happy to throw the cash at the salesman and get home! Bang for buck.. these are terrific value! Clean highs, plenty of midrange, and clean solid bottom end! For acoustic, jazz and blues, these speakers handle it all with true fidelity. I am yet to have a audio enthusiast friend come around to visit and not comment on how great they sound... and what good value they are :-) For theatre surround, you really don't need a sub-woofer!

Strength:

Powerfull sound, no need for subwoofer in home cinema setup.

Weakness:

no biwire-terminals

Bought them over a year ago, because I wanted speakers that would work out fine with house music as well as pop, rock, opera etc. Can be a bit "boomy" when placed close to the walls, but otherwise are pretty ok.

Bass, clearity

Weakness:

none for this price

Very nice speakers for this price. I think that they have great value for home theater sets. Very powerfull bass. However for the audio purposes the bass can be too dummy.
