Review 5 of 13
Price Paid:
$500.00
from Hifi-Klubi Summary: Now that I have owned a pair of 808's for more than two years, I have never regretted my decision.
As a Hip Hop fan my first requirement for speakers was powerful and deep bass sound even when played at low volume (and especially when played at higher level :) . Dali was basically the only real brand to consider in my limited budget.
Some might argue that the bass suffocates all the other elements, but I haven't found this as a real problem. Even when listening to occasional funk or jazz records. Dali suites just fine also for my home theater needs. I certainly don't have to buy any subwoofer to go along with the system.
I'm positive that there are better speakers out there somewhere, but for my needs and my money these were the perfect solution! Strengths: Deep bass & massive over-all sound. Weaknesses: separation ability
