Review 1 of 8

Price Paid:  $0.00 from HIFI LISCHPER - Germ

Summary:
It´s a long time ago, that i brought this wonderful speaker. First i had a MARANTZ PM-62 amplifier for use with this speaker. In 2003 up to 2008 they paused in my rooms. Now in 2008 i activated the DALI again, with a MUSIC HALL a50.2 amplifier. But the sound didn´t satisfied me at all, especially with very low volume. So i decided to change the amplfier. First i used an vintage Accuphase E-203 and it´s sounds warmer and with bigger volume. But this was not the last step. I changed to a great early label: LUXMAN. I brought a vintage LUXMAN C-03 / M-03 combination in top conditions. And my rusult: The LUX give this speaker the pressure they want! Nominal 3 watts from the M-03 is enough to take pleasure with the DALI 450 and i think it´s a great combination.

Strengths:
Very linear, natural sound and no overboost of bass or tweeter. The speaker don´t give the music no nother charachter than original. First-Class manufactoring and in the age of more than 10 years ít sounds like just brought. And there´s no label "Made in China"

Weaknesses:
I never found.

Review 2 of 8

Price Paid:  $575.00 from Danmarks Hi-FI Klub

Summary:
For 6 years I was quite happy with this loudspeaker. But in the end the middle range (especially some vocal) began to annoy me to a degree that caused me to buy something else (I still have them though). When I auditioned them they seemed to be the best sounding in the price range (listened to Infinity, KEF, Bose). I also listened to DALI 850 and they sounded ‘better’ but was to big both physical and economic, at the time.

Strengths:
Most acoustical (jazz) music is really something they like. Very good at low levels, no loss of detail or soundstage. Good finish.

Weaknesses:
Some vocal music.

Review 3 of 8

Price Paid:  $700.00 from "EXIT" specialist audio shop

Summary:
For me and not only - Best-Buy (very resonable price in Poland). Still in very good condition in comparation with fresher product. Any time I hear a sound limitation I know - have to upgrade electronic.

Strengths:
ovearall good balanced, musical, playing good with chip and more expensive amps and cd-s, bass of course,

Weaknesses:
for that price nothing, in comperation with more expensive (470) lacks "air" little bit because of treble limitation

Similar Products Used:
I've tested floorstanding ELAC, B&W 604, Triangle Antal,

Summary:
These really are some fine speakers!!! The sound is very clear and 'real', with perfect short bass. According to me one of the best speakers within their price range. (and must better then the JBL LX-750 I used before)

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
