Review 1 of 17

Price Paid:  $330.00 from 1994

Summary:
Hello,

The Dali 104 is a very good price value speaker (mid-range). I have bought the speakers as a first upgrade with a normal hi-fi set (kenwood + dali 104) price speakers as set 660 euro new.

After 7 years listening I did a receiver upgrade from kenwood to NAD 742. This was a major break true what a great sound can these dali 104 speakers produce with a good receiver.

After a total of 14 year dali 104 and 7 years of NAD I have done an upgrade.

The hifi has been upgraded to a high end system:
2 Dali mentor 6 speakers with a primare pre30 / a32 / cd31 / t23 hifi set.

The sound is now completely astonishing. clear bass, lots of detail in mid area and clear high tones.

cheers,

Jildert

Strengths:
Dali 104

- clear mid tone area
- details are correct
- can have enough power 50 / 150 watt (NAD receiver was 50 watt stereo)
- solid speakers
- spikes are needed if place on a wooden floor
- very relax for the ears, hours of listing with-out hesitation.

Weaknesses:
dali 104

- colour black

Review 2 of 17

Price Paid:  $330.00 from Hifi-Klubi in Oulu

Summary:
Good performance for the money (payed roughly 330 euros years ago for these). Offers a smooth and pleasant sound to enjoy. I personally like the mid-range, human voices are pleasant. I'd like some more clarity and detail and clarity in the highs as well as some deeper bass with additional controll. Still, for the money, I'd recommend these for anyone on a budget. Upgraded my amp and cd-player and these speakers sound better than ever. Please do yourselves a favor and hook these up with quality components. You won't regret it.

Strengths:
Mid-range, pleasant sound in general

Weaknesses:
No major ones

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Accord (Copenhagen)

Summary:
Hello, i have had thease for over a month now, and i must say they where a HUGE upgrade, becouse of lack of money i had some old Eltax speakers that where ready to go in the bin :) The Dali 104's are a GREAT set of speakers, the good for a set of all-around speakers, highly recomended. I paid 120 dollers for them, they where second hand but not used very much and in mint condition, new price where around 220 dollers. Though im getting a new set speakers tomorrow. New speakers are Acoustic Research AR18DX let's see how this upgrade turns out :)

Review 5 of 17

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Hi! I have a pair of Dali 104 speakers! It has a pretty clear sound, but the bass is a bit lose. The mid-range is good! A good tip is to use spikes! If you use spikes, the bass gets a tighter and smoother sound. A tip is to use a sub-woofer instead of the bass elements on the speakers. Then you will get a clear and good sound, while you also have a sub-woofer that plays the deep frequencies!
