I had these from 2000-2006 I bought them from a friend who bought them from a friend a few years earlier. Dunno how old they are. I sold them to my cousin's boyfriend and he still has them to this day and he's thinking of selling them now because of the neighbours.. If I had the cash to spend on a new amp I would have bought them back again today. The thing is these a quality speakers, they never die!! I have played them like hell.. All the owners have and they fu**ing live forever. And they play so amayzing with a proper amp. And if I'm not mistaking they have a fuse? on the back so they go before the speaker so.. yes! :)
Not many scratches on them eighter, they have had many owners and they still look good.
I had to switch to a smaler suround back in the days because I lived in apartment. If you get a chance to buy these do so!

Bought my VS120's in May 1995 and 14 years later I still love them!!! Bass is clean and powerful. Mids and highs are very well defined. I listen to all sorts of music and I've always been happy with these VS120's. Side note: If you move like I do, three times across the country, wrap in plastic and blankets. They do fine in moves even in the heat of the summer!!!!! That tells me how good the rubber has stayed for 14 years!!!

I just bought a pair of Cerwin-Vega VS-120s. Am driving them with a Kenwood KR-A5060 100watts RMS per channel + Kenwood GE-1000 Equalizer. Also have a pair of Cerwin -Vega VE-5M just above them + Optimus 3 way behind me For sorta direct 5.1 I've never heard it SO GOOD!!! The VS-120s are the best I have listened to. The force and clarity are great, paint peeling!!!!!!! Base will kick your butt. To those others who did'nt like them, go buy your $1000.00 speakers. I'll stick with my 120s........... Strengths:
BASE IS KILLER!!! Weaknesses:
None I can hear.

These are byfar the best floorspeakers ive heard, everybody who says they are distorted or are too boomy should get a better reciever or amp
If you want deep clen bass and crisp high's and mids, these are the ones for you Strengths:
