Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $800.00 from Diamond Stereo Ltd.

Summary:
Want volume? want bass? want your neighbours to be to deaf to phone the police? These will do it..and them some. I recieved these about three weeks ago and i am FAR past impressed. These speakers killed my expectations. The sheer output of these speakers is emense, just the way i like it. But not only do they go incredibley loud, they keep a nice crisp, clear and transparent sound that you wouldnt expect from speakers of this size and weight. Im runnin these off of a Crown K-2 Stereo Amplifier, putting 500 watts to each speaker, and they couldnt be happier. I myself am a MASSIVE bass fanatic. I never thought i could get enough bass untill these kicked in for the first time. Because of the output of those massive sual 15 in drivers i no longer use my dual 12 in 1200 watt Dayton based subwoofer, because..well, i dont need it (Anyone wanto buy it from me? haha). I highly recomend these to anyone and everyone who loves volume, clarity, value, and just an all around amazing unit.

Strengths:
Volume, bass, mids and highs, clarity, look, power..i could go on and on.

Weaknesses:
Weight, thats really its only downfall. But you wouldnt be able to make a loudspaker like this that weighed any less.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $600.00 from amazon

Summary:
If you like bass these speakers will give it to you. I am using an Adcom amp to run these, 400 watts rms exactly what the speakers require. These speakers will knock pictures off the walls seriously! The sound is good as far as the mids and tweeters are concerned. The only drawback is that these things are huge. Side by side they are as big as my 60" big screen T.V.

Strengths:
Bass!!!!!!

Weaknesses:
Size

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $800.00 from globalsales.com

Summary:
Hello. I purchased these speakers with no disappointment. For starters, Cerwin Vega has always been a wonderful name when it comes to making speakers. Sometimes I think that this company is underrated. If there is a speaker that you want that can cover everything that one would look for in sound, then look no further than the clsc-215's. As the description states, it houses two 15 inch woofers, a 6.5 inch midrange, and a one inch tweeter. Now granted, you will not achieve the greatness this speaker can put out without the proper receiver or amplifier. Most receivers have a hard enough time trying to move one 15 let alone two. I have an older model pioneer receiver with a separate EQ to help enhance the sound and power. And let me say that you do not need an additional powered sub to help out with the bass. These bad boys move air, and other objects in nearby areas. However if you're a true bass freak, Cerwin Vega does make a matching powered sub called the clsc-15s. It is a 15 inch 450 watt powered sub. I do not own that as of now, but you can imagine how that would sound. Even though Cerwin Vega has always been known for their outstanding bass, the highs and imaging on these are also very good. The midrange and tweeter blend in really well with eachother. And the crossover is good because whether the bass hits hard or low, there is no distortion with the tweeter or mid. I give this company their respect because not to many speaker companies even make 15's for the house anymore. And Cerwin Vega had the balls to make a dual 15. One thing is for sure, whether you are looking for new fronts for home theater, or want an irreplacable pair of stereo speakers, these would or should be the last pair of speakers you will ever buy. Thank you for reading.

Strengths:
There too many stengths to list, but I'll mention one. If you have a powerful enough receiver or amp to power these two beasts, these will blow away most powered subs. Without question, these are the biggest and most dominating towers on the market today. Get yours NOW!

Weaknesses:
Only weakness (if this is even considered one) is they are very large and heavy. So if you're not strong enough and still try to move these around, then back pain is in your future.

Similar Products Used:
I still currently own a pair of Cerwin Vega E-715's, and Cerwin Vega AT-15's. If the clsc-215's are too large or put out too much bass, then either one of these pairs will fulfill the need. All in all, all three pairs I own are irreplacable.

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....
