Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Sound City

Summary:
Let me start by saying that the one thing I look for in a speaker is a good mid range sound. These speakers do treble very well and bass well, but most of what you hear is mid range, and that is where these speakers shine. With a 5.25 inch woofer you aren't going to crack the plaster on your walls. But what you hear will be very smooth and very musical. I like all kinds of music, especially rock, and the soundstage these speakers produce is excellent. Don't be fooled. The bass that is there is well produced. Bass guitar, and bass drums are produced and sometimes surprisingly so. Bottom line, I love Celestion speakers, and if you live in an apartment or a situation where you can't have sub woofers, these speakers are perfect.

Strengths:
Mid range clarity, sound stage, crisp sound. Good musicality.

Weaknesses:
If you want to say bass extension, fine, but unless you are the type of person who judges speakers by their acoustic measurements, you will be very pleased.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $170.00 from 6th Ave

Summary:
My ears must be tuned only to these small speakers because no matter what speaker I listen too I always go back to these. I know in the UK the Celestions where rated as the #1 bookself some years ago but in the US they have been ignored. Not by me. Great sound, great value. Had them over 8 years and have no intentions of buying anything new at any price. IMHO they sound that good!

Strengths:
Overall sound.

Weaknesses:
None.

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
