Strength:

Well defined bass, Overall clear sound. Good for classical music and intimate jazz. Good balance for music and home theater. GREAT value for the money.

Weakness:

Almost but not quite the dynamic impact of some speakers for home theater. Compensated for by exceptional clarity.

I'll keep this short. I use Canton Karat M70s for the main system and LE109s in another room for a smaller (stereo) setup. The comparison is interesting. The overall dynamic range and imaging of the M70s are superior but the LE109s offer one of the most accurate bass reproduction of any speaker I have owned with the possible exception of Martin-Logan Arius i. If you like to hear every drawn bow vibration in a cello concerto these are for you. Very clear and non-fatiguing highs as well. Does not have the full dynamic impact of the M70 aluminum midranges however. A suggestion: Of all speakers I have ever owned, these really need a long break-in time. I always thought this was an exaggerated characteristic but these speakers proved me wrong. They get much better. The WAF is high as well. My wife loves the light wood retro look with the aluminum grilles. Strongly advise an audition if you don't want to spend a fortune on speakers. Great value.
