Review 1 of 3 , from switzerland

Price Paid:  $100.00 from fleemarket

Summary:
This review is for the Canton Karat 60. I drive it with my musical fidelity E series components plus X-ACT and X-10 D , Acoustic Energy subwoofer, Hi and mid are very clear as if the singer sings near you, very good cabinet finish. Bass is sufficient but since I have the AE subs then it compromises the needed bass, if you can still find this old Cantons get it

Strengths:
High and mid frequencies, live soundstage reproduction, good and sturdy cabinet finish.

Weaknesses:
not bi-wireable but I think you wouldn`t need it because of its soundstage performance you might audition it with a subwoofer to compensate the needed bass performance

Similar Products Used:
Musical Fidelity E 60 CD player, E 11 Amplifier, X -ACT, X 10 D, Van del Hul interconnects,AE subwoofer 150w,Audioquest speaker cables

Review 3 of 3 , from Italy

Summary:
This is a marvellous product, the bass is perfect deep and controlled just you have to find the right position in your room try to listen to them also with the woofers "outside", in my room I prefer the woofers "inside" that look to each other.
These speakers are very well built and they look like sculptures as they are wonderful (my are in cherry).
The highs are very sweet, detailed but not too much. Many speakers you find in the stores have very deep bass and highs too detailed and strident so the first time you listen to them they seems wonderful but after 30 minutes of listening you get bored.
For movies are good too, especially because they have strong bass but I think the first use of these speakers have to be for hifi. In any case the center channel of this line is great too (In the Canton web site is written you can just have it in black colour but I've bought it in cherry!).

Strengths:
Style, bass, highs

Weaknesses:
none
