Summary:
These speakers have a very beautiful acurate tonal quality and are very forgiving. They have a great sense of dynamics and awesome soundstaging abilities. One of the best overall speakers I've encountered and I have listened to many many high end speaker systems. The only negative is that they do not reproduce the bottom octave of deep base so if this is important to you then you have to use a sub or look elsewhere. If you can live without that though, these are fantastic speakers that you may be able to get a great deal on. They retailed for $5,000 at the end of thier production and I was able to pick up a near mint pair for $1,000. I have heard the older jersey model and it is a giant killer as well.

Strengths:
Fantastic dynamics and some of the best soundstaging available. They are also a very easy speaker to drive. I've used several amps on them including a 6 watt SET amp and they all worked very well. If you like quick, articulate, transparent, and dynamic sound you should try to check this speaker out. I was not in the market for any speakers but upon hearing these and having them offered to me at a fantastic price I bought them on the spot and have been extremely happy with them ever since ( about 6 months ago).

Weaknesses:
will not reproduce the deepest bass.

Similar Products Used:
I have been driving these with a cal labs delta transport into an audio research dac II (both of which have been modified by great northern sound). I have also used a Sony DVP9000es SACD player and a Musical Fidelity A3. both players were also used with an ACK dac and a mht labs Constantine dac. Pre-amps are an Audio Research SP9 mk iii and a Rogue Audio 99 magnum. Power amps include Rogue Audio 150 mono blocks, vintage Mcintosh MC30s, Musical Fidelity A3cr, and a cusom built SET using the ux-250 as an output tube for a whoping 6 watts. Even the 6 watter drove the speakers well in my 20 by 30 foot room. I also listen to a set of vintage Belle Klipsch speakers (mostly with the set amp) and a set of Vandersteen 3a Signatures.
