from The Good Guys Summary: This is a great system, especially for the price. It easily competes with and beats most comparible systems around it's price range. I considered a similar system by Polk, many smaller systems, and of coarse Bose's stuff. Between the great sound and the great price, Boston won. Strengths: Clear highs and lows. Affordable price. Good looking. Great surrounds. Weaknesses: The only weakness I have found with the system, and this is just my opinion, is that due to the metal enclosures instead of wood, the resonance makes the sound not as "warm" as I'm used to. (Sorry to the other reviewer who said these were warm, I disagree.) I personally like this effect though, because you get really clear sound as a result. And if you have an eq you can warm it up a bit too.

from Tweeter Summary: This is hands down the best satelite home theater for the money. Granted, I got it for considerably less than retail (gotta love floor models)but even at $1000 it's definitely worth it.
First, I was very naive getting into this. At first I thought about getting one of those cheap panasonic kits or something similar. Then i came into more $$ and decided to look into something better. so i went to the bose store and was blown away. so was my wife. but as with everything, i decided to research. i read, listened and shopped, and boy am i glad i did. i quickly found out that the bose lifestyles were a joke because they didnt actually use dolby digital, so i thought about getting a yamaha receiver and the bose acoustimass 15 speakers. then i listened some more and found the bostons. what a difference. they sound great in all genres and ranges. to anyone looking to get into a home theatre, dont be fooled by the bose
As i said in the weakness area, they dont look as good as the bose, but then again, the bose sound as good as any other decorations in my house, cause thats basically what they are.
do your homework, you wont regret it. Strengths: Price, sound quality Weaknesses: Asthetics (compared to Bose) Similar Products Used: Bose, Aiwa

from united audio center Summary: Very warm sound, hear distinct details. I listened to a few different systems playing cds. This was the only one that sounded like you were actually at the concert. Ulike some systems it had a strong bass but it didnt drown out dialogue and other sound. YOu get an excellent value too. It topped Bose for sound hands down and it costs, depending on the model, up to 1500$ less. Even though you can get a reciever nd cd player with the bose, it is still not worth it. Just get a yamaha reciever, thats what i have, and if u dont have a dvd player yet get a multidisc that plays cds. it's still about 650$ dollars cheaper. This compared to the Mirage and klipsch, well lets just say it blew them away. I was very impressed, beyond impressed with this system. Similar Products Used: Bose, Mirage, Klipsh
