Avalon ELIPSE CLASSIS is a beautiful speaker. The quality workmanship and finishing is excellent & topnotch. Thanks for the Avalon design team.
I am using the Gryphone amplyfier to drive, with innterconnect of VDH MC-Silver balance, and a pair of Venture Signature speaker cable. Replaced the Jumper to a pair of AUDIO NOTE ANPx instead of the original Cardas.
Setup is not difficult but of couse depands how you want the sound picture feel like. If toe-in more, the image will be more pointed sharp. If leave both speaker pararrel on front, it will create a very wide image especially when use it on AV but this is not the AV speaker.
The grill clothes must be used as they are an integral part as to minimize the diffraction. If you leave them off, the sound will be bright and diffuse.
Although the ECLIPSE CLASSIC is not a big size as Opus but still it performes very good full range and full dynamics of sound quality. If to power them within their designed limitation, they can be no doublt to generate the very good quality sound stage though it is just 2-way design.

Putting on the Spike is problematic if you are living alone or without friend to help.
Secondly is the speaker cable connection part is underneath the speaker and towards upfront though I knew Avalon said this will be a good place to set, still why not put it uprear a bit, or the very lower part of the back side of speaker. Very user-unfriendly. Similar Products Used:
