Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $80.00 from ComputSmart

Summary:
If you're budget oriented and want a 4.1 setup then this system is for you. It's well constructed, has decent performance and definitely won't strain your wallet. But if you're looking for something that'll rock a mid-size to large room, look for something with more power than this 40 Watt system.

Strengths:
Great price for a 4 satellite setup and subwoofer. Installation is a breeze unless you're stupid and/or colorblind.

Weaknesses:
Relatively low volume compared to some more expensive systems. Satellites will hiss and creek at high volumes while the subwoofer becomes muffled. No headphone jack.

Similar Products Used:
Bose, Kenwood home audio stuff.

Review 4 of 5

Summary:
These speakers put out amazing sound for the price. The quality of the lows are outstanding and the mids and highs aren't as clear but for the money they are good. These could replace many bookshelf systems that are twice as expensive.

Strengths:
Great Bass, Good Price, Nice wood case

Weaknesses:
Digital Control a little ackward

None

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
These speakers are an excellent deal for anyone that likes to play a lot of games, and listen to some music too. At low volume levels they are nothing but bass, but when you crank them up, they can match most mini-systems volume wise, and the 6" 40 watt RMS sub is very punchy, but not very deep at all. The sattelites each have a 3/4" tweeter and a 3" midrange driver, and they are fairly muddy at low to moderate volume levels, but when cranked up, they are extremely impressive for $120 computer speakers. Sound quality overall is not as good as the Cambridge Soundworks Soundworks, but they are significantly bassier and louder. For computer speakers, you can do quite a bit better for more money, and much, much worse.

Performance *** + Value ***** = Overall ****

Strengths:
Very punchy bass, loud, low vocal coloration, do not distort easily

Weaknesses:
Muddy high end at low to medium volume levels

Similar Products Used:
Cambidge Soundworks Soundworks

No, you can’t always get what you want. The number of loudspeakers surpassing the cost of a decent family sedan is staggering. Then there are speakers that cost as much as a house.
