Review 5 of 5 Summary: These speakers are an excellent deal for anyone that likes to play a lot of games, and listen to some music too. At low volume levels they are nothing but bass, but when you crank them up, they can match most mini-systems volume wise, and the 6" 40 watt RMS sub is very punchy, but not very deep at all. The sattelites each have a 3/4" tweeter and a 3" midrange driver, and they are fairly muddy at low to moderate volume levels, but when cranked up, they are extremely impressive for $120 computer speakers. Sound quality overall is not as good as the Cambridge Soundworks Soundworks, but they are significantly bassier and louder. For computer speakers, you can do quite a bit better for more money, and much, much worse.
Performance *** + Value ***** = Overall **** Strengths: Very punchy bass, loud, low vocal coloration, do not distort easily Weaknesses: Muddy high end at low to medium volume levels Similar Products Used: Cambidge Soundworks Soundworks
