I have been into audio equipment since my teens, 40 years now. I have listened to several pairs of speakers through the years. Some incredible, some underwhelming. I was intrigued after reading some glowing reviews about the 7t's. I had planned on making the 4 hour drive to go audition them at the closest dealer to me. A like new pair came up on the web at a great price so I took a leap of faith. The fit and finish on them is gorgeous. Unlike a lot of very high end speakers, they do not look like a modern art sculpture, they look like speakers. They sound nothing short of amazing, top to bottom, imaging, you name it. I have heard some speakers costing twice to three times as much that did not have the overall sound quality as the Aerials. I can honestly say for the first time I have absolutely no desire to ever replace them. Coming from me, that's saying something.

Retail price is $10K a pair. Note that I do not own these! Just listened for an hour at ths shop. for my taste, these are vastly superior to any B&W, Paradigm, PSB, or JBL Synthesis speaker available at any price. That includes the $40K JBL and B&W models. Better range, better detail, VASTLY superior staging. Second best staging I have ever heard; you can easlity differentiate the positions of two singers standing shoulder to shoulder... it is that precice.

Listened to jazz, Batman Begins sountrack, and old Sneakers soundtrack. Sweet vocals followed by movie theater thunder. Everything was effortless, dynamic, engaging, emotional, and even startling (some of the Batman drumming REALLY jumps up and grabs you by the skull!) Truly an all singing, all dancing, full range speaker.

Setup was an integrated amp and a cd player; nothing spectacularly fancy or expensive. Room was good but not ideal, with curtained glass window behind (too close behind), outward slanting side walls, etc.

$10K is out of my range, so I will be watching the aftermarket closely to see if I can nab a pair.
