I bought these for a sub system for my room. Very pleasing sound. As mentioned in the strengths, the sound quality is astonishing for its price range. It can handle any thing I throw at it, ranging from RATM, Metalllica NIN to Sarah Brightman,Diana Krall,Jewel...etc
Great value. Give it a serious thought if you're thinking about purchasing some bookshelfs around $500.
Strengths:
The openness, no crossover which lets the mids and highs naturally roll off.
Warm sound with high resolution, strong mids and stereo reproduction. Imaging is very good, sound stage wide Weaknesses:
