Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $4650.00 from AAD direct

Summary:
Designed and manufactured by legend Phil Jones; Great imaging, sweet low-end response, and smooth, articulate highs. One of the best, if not the best, he's made. This speaker is rated down to 23hz, this from (2) 5 1/4" extremely long throw mid-bass/bass drivers; This is basically unheard of, from speakers this size; The solid formed tweeter has great transparency, and presents wonderfully throughout the room, even when way off axis; The cabinetry is absolutely beautiful, with rich veneers, and the design is stunning. Also very inert cabinet (to resonance). Top quality construction. Competes readily with much more expensive loudspeakers.

Strengths:
Phenomenal imaging, transparency from tweeter, great low-end response, well-balanced sound; Covers the full spectrum of 2 channel audio, plenty dynamic for home theater, also.

Weaknesses:
AAd does great in other countries, but doesn't have lots of dealers in the U.S. This hasn't been a problem, the speaker is very bulletproof, but it would be nice to have more dealers, to at least demo their equipment. Good customer service, though. Some may not like the modern stainless "grill," although it can be removed. Heavy speaker, but this is a plus, in regards to resonance.

Strengths:
Lively, articulate sound. deliver huge and deep bass extension with authority.

Weaknesses:
