Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $100.00 from J and R.com

Summary:
I like the fact that this speaker can handle a large amount of power. While the drivers are nothing fancy, they deliver a natural, clear sound as per all Yamaha speakers I have ever auditioned. My fronts are large Pioneers and the tonal adjustor really works well. While there is still a slight pitch difference using test tones, normal playback gives a fairly seamless transition.

Strengths:
Good Bass response, Flexible adjustment w/attenuator, Binding posts

Weaknesses:
Fairly large and non-descript

None

Review 3 of 6

Summary:
This is the first Center speaker I have owned, so I might not be the best judge on centers. This speaker does feature 5 way binding posts and tonal balance knob. I don't exctly know what one of the other reviewers meant by "not being finished", maybe he just got a bum speaker. For the price, I think this is a decent speaker.

Strengths:
Price, 5 way binding post

Weaknesses:
none (for the price)

Similar Products Used:
No other centers

Review 4 of 6

Summary:
These speakers produce a very crisp and clean sound. They are a perfect match for my Yamaha NSA-1638 tower speakers. The voices come at you very clearly and with impact. These speakers sound almost as good as the Polk center channels for a lot less money. I purchased mine for $99 from Best Buys. You can't beat the price for the quality that these speakers have.

Strengths:
Light Yamaha claims, these speakers have a crisp and natural sound to them.

Weaknesses:
None that I have noticed

Similar Products Used:
Polk center channels.

Review 5 of 6

Summary:
Not a bad center channel speaker for the price. Best Buy had it on sale for $114.92 after rebate. I bought this to pair up with NS-A1738 towers and NS-A528 rear surround speakers. The adjustable attenuator is a nice touch in helping adjust the speaker to match your mains. Nothing incredibly flashy or spectacular, but it does it's job well in a mid level HT setup like mine.

Strengths:
Sound quality, looks, adjustable tweeter attenuator

Similar Products Used:
JBL, Bose, Yamaha speakers
