Bottom Line: Revision of my last review: After hooking these up to an old Parasound HCA800II amp, they really shine. The Denon 2802 just didn't have enough oomph to do the job for 2 channel stereo. Highs are still magnificent and everything seems to hold together MUCH better than the Diamond 8.4s which seem rather sloppy in comparison. Even with the volume turned way up, they are detailed and coherent.

Bottom Line: Got these on ebay for a good price. They sound better than my Wharfedale Diamond 8.4s but for the bass. Highs are magnificent, seemless transition to mids and bass but when compared back to back with 8.4s there is a difference. They seem to be a good match for the Diamond 70 Anniversarys I have. Wood veneer is nice.

Bottom Line: Purchased these along with the pi center about five months ago and am very happy with the purchase. The build quality and rosewood finish are excellent and are bi wire capable. Sound is very open and detailed due to the top mounted tweeter pot and is capable at times of incredible clarity and detail. Female vocals sound incredible while some mail voices sometimes lack a little punch. The sound much improved after adding a klipsch reference 10 subwoofer which filled in the bright spots on the speaker. With a good sub they are great and really shine without they tend to be a a little bright and almost too airy for my ears. They are not particularily power hungry and seem very efficient. Overall a great design and great build quality at a fraction of the cost of many other speakers.
