Price Paid:  $0.00 from Polk Accomodation

Summary:
This center is awesome. I got it accomodation from Polk, so price was not a factor for me... I got it to fit with my little older system, and it impresses me most importantly and anyone else who sees it. This is a repost (updated), I originally rated this in the CS1000 listing, but since I actually own the CS1000P I am posting here updated. My system is: Hitachi 65SWX20B Projection TV Pioneer Elite DV-37 DVD Player Denon 5803 Receiver Polk Audio RT55's Front R/L Polk Audio CS1000p Center Polk Audio F/X1000 Surround R/L Velodyne HGS-18 Series II sub Connections are m1000 and some m2000 series monster cables. I use system for home theatre primarily, but it is good musically too.

Strengths:
Two subs dedicated for lfe in the center channel, which frees up the two mids to play mid frequency sound. Center pre-out connection! Bi-ampable. Very clear and precise. Subwoofer volume control on front. Impressive.

Weaknesses:
Enormous which does not allow for optimal placement. Subs are only 50watts and they will distort at high listening levels, however you can fix that by turning down the sub volume level. Heavy.

Similar Products Used:
I work for a major audio retailer, so I have tested many and for what I could get this speaker for it was worth it. No one can compete with this Polk CS1000p in anywhere near its price range.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
