Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I needed a center channel badly and Circuit City is very close to me, so I grab one of this Pioneer center channel.(Pioneer is #1 in car speakers to me) Sound great at the store with "Hell Freezes over", I wonder how much better it will be if I purchase a JBL that I have in mind (studio center channel II). So far this pioneer does the job well. Did you notice that one of the woofers is very quiet or produces no sound? I checked others in the store after I bough it, thinking it is a defect, but they all do that. Does yours too????

Strengths:
price

Weaknesses:
sound somewhat clashy

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $80.00 from circuit city

Summary:
I picked this one up as a low price shielded speaker to complement my pioneer bookshelf S-H512B-K left and right channels. I tried it out with the DVD "The Others," a primarily dialogue driven film. It recreated the voices with a healthy dose of bass. Need to check it out on a film with higher pitched voices to see how well it fares. So far I am very satisfied with it, considering how inexpensive it was.

Strengths:
Good bass. Fits well on top of my TV.

Weaknesses:
It's supposed to be fully shielded, but I still get a slight color distortion with it sitting on top of my Toshiba 27" TV. I backed it up a bit from the front of the set, and the distortion went away. And yes, it looks like a big black brick.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $79.00 from circuit city

Summary:
Tried it at the store and sound very good I should say excelent, and the price is a bargain. At home I realize that the left driver sends less output than the right one, I do ot know if this is normal in center channels or mine is defective, since both drivers look the same (woofers) and the speaker is called 2 way.?

Strengths:
Great sound great price great brand keeping good quality

Weaknesses:
none yet , but confused about the unequal output from drivers

none

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $72.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
This center speaker includes two 5" bonded fiber woofers and a 1" P.C. tweeter. I produces excellent sound at a far less price than most other center-channel speakers I looked at, but at the cost of size: it's a bit bulky at 14"x6"x6". It is, however, solidly constructed (it feels an awful lot like a concrete block).

Oh, and I saved $7 on a typo. 8^)

Strengths:
Solid construction, magnetically shielded.

Weaknesses:
A little big.

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
