Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I bought this centre speaker when upgrading to home theater. I already had pair of Mission 700''s as front speakers and I wanted a centre to match their sound. This centre is great, and integrates well with other Mission components. As I do not have a sub I put all the bass throught the normal channels. The 70C1 never struggles at high volume, even when the 700''s are ready to blow!

Strengths:
Integrates well with other mission speakers.

Weaknesses:
UGLY with the grille off.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $79.00 from Richersounds

Summary:
My system consists of,

Receiver: Yamaha RX-V596
Fronts: Mission 701
Rears: Mission 700
Sub: haven't got on YET ! (looking in to it right now)

When I picked up this center I had a bad feeling about it, I took the grill of in the store and really thought it wouldn't do it, for my room. (20"x11")
I unpacked the unit, hooked it up, played a few trailers, DD en THX intro's and was immediately impressed !
I could really recommend this center for people on a budget !

Strengths:
Rich clear sound with excellent bass for it's size/price

Weaknesses:
a bit sharp soundig at times, could be my receiver

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $120.00 from www.hi-fistore.co.uk

Summary:
This is a nice budget centre speaker but if you have a slightly larger budget go for the 70c2 or the new M7C. The 70c1 is rated at 25-75 watts which is ideal for most budget pro-logic or digital amps and the sound given is very nice with the treble and bass being well defined. The 70c1 also does a great job of integrating with my 701 front speakers to produce a seamless front soundstage.

Strengths:
Cheap but nice sound.

Weaknesses:
With front grill off looks tacky.

Review 4 of 4

Summary:
I had to choose between the 70c1 and 70c2. Because my budget was a little bit tight, I chose the c1 model. I admit it, the 70c2 sounded better but the room was very very big and that's something to take in account. Also, you have to decide if you want to pay another 100$ CAN to have 2 tweeters instead of one. If you live in an appartment you'll be very happy with this model but if your house has a big listening room go for the c2 model. You won't be disapointed if you choose one of these 2 models.

Strengths:
Cristal clear sound. Excellent Quality/price.

Weaknesses:
Only 1 tweeter Versus 2 for the 70c2 model.
