from Webtronics (eBay sel Summary: I had a Polk CS175i center channel that was part of my original homegrown surround system. Even though the CS175i performed OK as part of the whole system, it seemed too inefficient. It was the weak link.
I've been a Kef fan for over 20 years and was looking to try an inexpensive center channel. I found the Coda 80 online and am certainly more pleased with this speaker. Its specs are better than the Polks and its actual sonic performance is better too. It's more efficient, its highs are more dynamic but not artificial and its bass is admirable for a budget center channel.
The Coda 80 is actually set up for bi-wiring which I have done to get the most out of it. Strengths: Dynamic range, efficiency. Weaknesses: None for this price. Similar Products Used: Polk CS175i, Technics piece of crap.
