Sounds 'Just Right" to my ears which is the oblect of the whole thing anyway ;~)

Cheap Black Ash vinyl covering, I have purchased some beautiful rosewood veneer but have not found the time to lay it as of yet.

I love this center unit!!! I am using 2 4408 jbl studios for front mains and 2 paradigm studio 20s for rear, 2 subs, a front firing 10" def tech in the front of my 16' x 12.5' theater room, and a custom made bottom firing 12" Dayton Titanic sub. I am using a pioneer elite vsx37tx. I have used several other centers from JBL, SONY, KLIPSCH (way too bright), Mirage etc. But this one sounds just right with my current set-up. Voices are perfectly pitched and the highs are crystal clear but not glass breaking bright like the Klipsch unit.

I am a Sound Tech and have been one for over 25 years. Accuracy is very important to my ears. I like my music to sound like the artist intended not the speaker manufacturer!!! This has changed greatly over the years. When I was a teenager Klppsch and thier dynamics were my favorite loudspekers. I used four cornwalls with an Accuphase E-202 for 15 years. The E-202 is now a Hum-Bucket with bad power caps and the Klpsch are gathering dust in storage, I take them out for an occaisional wedding reception gig and my 37tx drives them to ear and bone shattering SPLs. Now at the ripe old age of 51 I prefer the sound of studio monitors. I have three distinct favorites JBl 4408's (I adore the 35ti Tweets) Monitor series by paradigm and polk RTi6's.

I have had this center speaker for about two years now I wanted to up grade so I went and bought JBL new model center and compared both model and i coudnt tell the differnce in sound so I took the new one back..love my center speaker.............nn
