Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $165.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
I had been researching about 6 months for a center speaker and narrowed the finalists to Infinity, Boston Acoustics, or Bose. The Infinity won because of price and performance. The Bose center was eliminated immediately after hearing the Infinity and Boston Acoustics centers. The Boston was way to high (price wise) and the bose just didn't have the sound. I am quite pleased with this purchase ($165 on sale). The highs are detailed and crisp and the mids/vocals are more than adequate for a center channel. For an entry level speaker/person on a budget (i.e. wife), you can't go wrong with this speaker.

Strengths:
Nice highs, above average midrange.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Kenwood, Pioneer, JBL, Harman Kardon

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $168.00 from Circuit city

Summary:
You just cannot go wrong with Infinity. I was useing a JBL but it just lacked the punch I needed. I buy at employee cost at Circuit City so I was really open to all that they carry and I chose this one. You would not believe the mark up on speakers. Excellent center, catch it on sale. I have all Infinity speakers now and they are sweet together

Strengths:
Crystal highs, Great dialogue that comes through well, Rock solid build quality.

Weaknesses:
none so far

Similar Products Used:
JBL Polk

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Yoshi's World

Summary:
I found this online for only $120, which is $30 less than what most stores want for the Entra Center 1, and I was just blown away. This thing can handle anything you throw at it with ease. Dialogue is crystal clear, while effects sounding absolutely amazing. It's easily worth the $200 most stores are asking for, but since I got it for only $120, its performance for the money is simply unbeatable.

Strengths:
Rich, powerful sound. Dialogue is sharp as a nail.

Weaknesses:
A little on the bulky side.

Similar Products Used:
Polk

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
