I have never found better quality speakers than these. They are built to last forever, I do believe.

Strength:

identical to overture 1, built like a tank

Weakness:

flimsy grill cover

The only differences between this speaker and the overture 1 are the packaging. The ov1 come two to the box whereas the center channel speaker is individually packaged. The center channell package also includes a funky foot for use if you want to place the speaker on a slanting surface like the top of your tv. I love the ov1's and bought the center channell to go with them. I find in my room I need to back the bass effects adjustment off two clicks from center detent position when listening to music. The tile floor in my listening room may have something to do with this. This is an amazing speaker. The good deal price is $247 each.

Strength:

This is the only center channel speaker that has 150w power woofer on board.

Weakness:

It is too heavy for on top of TV.
You cant get a stand for it because you have to buy the matching stand by pairs.
lack of line level input for the power woofer.

It is the same as the Overture1 front speakers. The best part of it is that you can get five identical speakers for your HT and you get a kick a$$ HT setup. The overture 1 is more than enough for HT application. The power woofer (not subwoofer) can go as low as 35Hz but it still doesn't count as a sub. The speaker is so heavy and very well built (30+ lbs each) and the sound is fantastic. There are rubber feet that come with the speaker to put it on top of TV, but you got to have some huge TV to suport the weight. It is very flat in terms of frq. respond but may not be love by everybody. Some will say the speaker sound too bright. Now the Overture CC-1 is discontinued and can be had for very good price. Sometimes I feel that it is a little over kill for a center channel.
