Boston Acoustics VR MC Center Speaker
3 Reviews
rating 5 of 5
MSRP 599.95
Description: The Lynnfield VR-MC is a new high performance center channel speaker that sonically and cosmetically compliments our highly acclaimed ""Video Reference Monitor"" series. Its accurate, wide-range response delivers clear dialog and dynamic on-screeen sound effects with unmatched clarity and articulation.

Cosmetically, the VR-MC maintains the unique appearance of the VR-M monitors. The cabinet features a solid wood top in either cherry or black ash and real wood veneer side panels. The result is a luxurious piece of furniture for the top of your TV that is gracefully tapered to expose only a thin strip of wood above the baffle when viewed directly from the front. The cabinet is as functional as it is beautiful, featuring heavy internal bracing for strength and rigidity, eliminating unwanted audio resonances.

Review NaN of , from Boston, MA

Price Paid: $599.00 from Tweeter

Summary:
This is the absolute prettiest center channel I have seen. I have it in cherry and have seen it in black which is also stunning. The sound is excellent as well, very detailed and smooth. I have it bi-wired with Audio Quest and dialogue on movies is true to life. Plenty of sensitivity without being bright. Perfect match with the VRM series speakers. Sound is smooth and straight forward with no coloration. Give it a listen you won't be disappointed.

Strengths:
Gorgeous looks in black or cherry
Excellent build quality
Bi- wirable
Oustanding sound quality.
Possibly the favorite piece in my system.

My system

Boston VR M50's
Boston Vr-MC
HK AVR 520
Paradigm PDR 10 Sub
Dennon DVD 1600
Audioquest GR8- bi wire

Weaknesses:
none
Although at $600 its a bit pricey but worth it.

Creates a very large soundstage, especially when paired with the other Reference monitors from Boston Acoustics. This thing is infinitely better than what I had been using, and I highly recommend checking it out.

Strengths:
Excellent soundfield. Very good looking. Great dynamic range. High quality construction

Weaknesses:
none that I can tell
