Bottom Line: It's true that these speakers are well made, beautiful boxes, etc, it's obvious that much thought has been put in to their design and construction. However, what let's these babies down is sound quality.
To my ear ( I don't consider myself to be cloth eared ) for serious listening in a two channel audio only system these things fall well short of the mark. They produce a thin almost pinched sounding response through the upper mid and treble, I new I had a problem as soon as I plugged them in at home. And as for extending flat-ish down to 65hz, Im a little skeptical, don't get me stared on female vocals and exaggerated sibilants.
Krix don't seem to have any detailed response or performance info on their website and don't seem too keen to give anything away in the info department.
If you are after a well made speaker to use as rears in a surround system where they won't be the main focus the Brix may be O.K.. For the money you can probably get better.
In conclusion, the only advice I can offer is audition these things "real good" before you make your decision.

Strengths: For such a small enclosure, these speakers sure do perform well. I'm using them as rears in my home theatre setup (with the Krix KDX series as fronts) and they sounds fantastic. Obviously the low-end is fairly non-existent but they have such clarity at mid to high frequencies. I'm almost thinking of getting another pair to run as a small stereo in the other living room (just for casual listening). Finally, the build quality is fantastic. They look good enough to run them without the grilles!Weaknesses: Using them as rears in a home theatre setup makes it difficult to pinpoint weaknesses. I ran them as mains when I first purchased them (keeping in mind there was no run-in period), and I did notice the soundstage wasn't as solid as it could have been. It felt like I was listening to two speakers rather than the speakers appearing "invisible".Bottom Line: Small, great build quality, good clarity at mid to high frequencies, but would need a subwoofer for a complete range.
