These are very mediocre speakers, particularly on the low end. With all due respect to the last reviewer, these would only appeal to people who have not had experience with decent speakers. These appear to have sealed cabinets. They don't have porting, which would improve the bass response (along with making the cabinet deeper) The high end (treble is decent, but nothing to write home about.) Really, these remind me of the kind of crummy audio equipment that was available to college students through a department stores in the 1960's. Pass on these, unless you have no alternative (and don't pay anymore than $10-$20 for the pair.) If you do buy these, do yourself a favor and take the raw speakers out of these and build a deeper cabinet by a minimum of 2.5 to 3", and put a port (PVC pipe available at Home Depot) in them, use a 2" inside diameter port, cut to about 3.5 inches. That will improve you bass response. Better yet, pop for a pair of modern computer monitors. They start at about $120 as of this writing.

Very, unbelievably impressive speakers by Jensen. If you have found a pair your in luck for sound. These make for excellent rear channels or just plain bookshelf loudspeakers. Very wide range of sound and handle well too. Nice lows.
Mine have black wood vinyl on them with a non-removable black cloth grills(bummer). Regular push pin wire terminals and gold Jensen insignias on the front. I practically got them for free by buying a mans entire theater. He threw them in at the last minute and said I could just have them. As I tested them out months later I found them to sound really excellent. Being that they sounded great and were "Jensen" speakers I just ended up keeping them.
Currently they are hooked to my computers sound system. I have a basic Creative 2.1 system which delivers 25 watts to its 6.5 inch subwoofer and 9 watts to its two front channels. No other speakers I have hooked up this way sounded anything like these Jensen speakers. Before I just received a fullrange speaker sound which was what the Creative satellites were. I wanted a broader sound when I was running a 5.1 system so I tried to replace them with little result. Then I just happened to hook up the SBC65s to it one day and was blown away..
Great speakers to have found and/or purchased. I would pay $40, maybe $50 for another pair, but I'm sure I or anyone else could find them for dirt cheap.
