The HT4V THX-certified, Symmetrical Vertical Array bookshelf loudspeaker can accurately reproduce today's dynamic digital movie soundtracks with superb clarity and pinpoint imaging. The HT4V can be used for all five channels, or can be combined with other HT models for a complete home theater system. Package contains 2 speakers to serve as left and right main speakers.
Summary: These speakers are amazing. They sound far better than my current speakers, Electrovoice 10" 2-ways, and they take up a whole lot less space. Great sound for a compact speaker. The imaging, detail, and clarity that these speakers have is incredible. I'm hearing things in my music that I never heard before. I can't wait until I get a chance use them on my NAD 7100...

Summary: Excellent THX movie speaker. Clear sound tracks, wide lateral dispersion, and it will play loud. The speaker has to be used with a sub woofer crossed over at 80 hz or higher. The other reviewer doesn't obviously know that this isn't a full range speaker.
Strengths: CLear, well articulated movie sountracks.
It will play loud without distortion.
Weaknesses: The horn in the middle looks don't fit in with all decors
Similar Products Used: JBL HT1 System (front, surrounds, woofers)

Summary: WOW!!! These are great speakers. The ht4v have a great full sound. They sound much bigger than a bookshelf speaker. The have just the right amount of bass but sound even better with a good powered sub. i love the highs that these speakers produce. i am a life long fan of JBL now. the ht4v's are very high quality speakers and i recommend them without reservation to anyone that is serious about great sound. very very nice...
