Well, I live in Brasil and unfortunately Video and Audio is a very costly business around here. One of the financial aspects of these speakers that still make the whole thing not too incredibly bad is that they have a seven year warranty, which is fantastic.
About the speakers: I read many reviews and listened to quite a few bookshelf speakers before I decided on buying these. My choice for bookshelves was based mostly on the size of my living room and on financial issues. Since I'm an enthusiastic researcher and have excellent listening abilities I had to be sure that I would get the best bang for the buck. I must say that, thank God, I rather sure that these are the best I could get.
One of the first impressions I got from these speakers is that they are beautiful. I got them in a black ash finish in order to fit better into our living room, though I must admit that they're nicer in the cherry finish.
Jamo decided to change the traditional order of drives and placed the mid-woofer on top of the tweeter. I must say that I'm not too sure if it made much of a difference, but it is an eye-catcher for people who like a slight untraditional look.
These speakers are extremely clear and crisp and have a very neutral feel to them. I compared them to other similar bookshelves like boston acoustics cr75, KEF Cresta2, some Polks, the Jamo E630, a Lando and a few others I don't remember.
Out of all of these speakers I preferred the E825 because they were more accurate, more neutral a incredibly clear. Of course they don't have the necessary bass, but for their size their bass is quite impressive.
Unfortunately I'm not very happy with the soundstage, but I don't think I can get anything better in this price range.
If you're looking for some neutral, clear and fast speakers for a low price I believe you won't have to look further.

UPDATE!!!
Yesterday I reconnected the wiring to the upper connectors due to a hint a read at one of the reviews of the D590. IT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Suddenly the soundstage is there, even three dimensional. And it's all there without having a great receiver nor even an average CD Player. I believe that these are some of the best bookshelves around, beating other speakers twice the price or more. They continue transparent and very clear without being highs orientated.
Buy these if you can get them!!! Strengths:
