Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $480.00

Summary:
Brought HB1 almost a year and used Mythos audio vacuum tube and Rotel RCD961, the highs is okey but the low is not so punchy, but playing vocals disk is good the sound is sweet. Also using for Home theatre the sound is amazing

Strengths:
sensitivity is 90db and can be used as biwire

Weaknesses:
Impedance is only 6 ohms, and the crossover is not put on the PCB, They just used glue and mounted on the card board

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I bought these Heybrooks for a £150 from my local dealer. Because, 1 they fitted my budget, 2 they sound really good for the price and 3 they look good. But what appeals to me is te sound that they produce at the maximum 75W per channel the bass is low - when you are listening to Hard House and the Treble is really good when listening to classical and jazz. So, if you can't afford the B&W 602 S1's go for these, don't buy the Wharfdale 6.1, 6.2 or 6.3, because none of them sound as good as these.

Strengths:
Good Bass Good Treble Good Looks Good Price

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Wharfdale 6.3 - crap!

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
