Summary:
Used as tops of a PA System for a live rock band. Purchased new in January of 2004 and have delivered consistently good performance.

Strengths:
Clarity and dependability... Work very well with the SXA 180 powered subs. Nice design that allows it to sit on the top of a tower or as a floor monitor.

Weaknesses:
None known after 3 1/2 years of use on the road!

Summary:
These speakers sound great, are lightweight, and good-looking. My wife and I use them for our travelling music ministry. I got a sweet deal on 3 of them (2 front of house, one floor monitor) because Guitar Center was dropping the EV line. They usually sell for about $500.

Strengths:
Great smooth sound, great power without distortion, attractive metal grill, lightweight, compact

Weaknesses:
*Metal heatsink in back protrudes, making it easy to catch the edge on clothing or skin- ouch! *To use these as floor monitors, you have to use the brackets (included). It would be better if the cabinets were designed like the Macke's to provide the correct angle without brackets.
