Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $80.00 from eBay

Summary:
I am using two sets of these speakers as surrounds in a 7.1 system. They sound great in that capacity. The speakers are small for bookshelf speakers and they can be placed almost anywhere. Even though they only have a 5-1/4" woofer, they really do reach a produce some low pitched sound. They produce crisp highs as well. An excellent value for a bookshelf/surround speaker. The speakers are rated for a high wattage for their size as well.

Strengths:
Sound clarity. The small size of the speakers blends with most decors. High power handling.

Weaknesses:
Cannot be directly wall mounted.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
