Strength:

they actually sound wonderful at lower volumes, bass is about what you would expect from a small woofer, treble is nice for a tweeter that most likely costs $10 to replace, im sure the crossover is a good design at least 12db/octave.

Weakness:

none for the price.

paid $50 with shipping, best $50 i ever spent. buy these brand new at $70+ shipped and compare to anything in that price range, double even, and i bet they cant be beat!!! i put these up against my b&w 601's and kef q15's, the model 17's will lose against my much more pricey speakers, but only buy a bit, and dont forget that the kef's are $200+ and the b&w's are $350+. the bass isnt anything serious and as far as spl's go, not very loud, but if you are looking for a great overall sounding bookshelf speaker for your den or office, than i highly recommend you get these instead of some crappy brand from your local best buy type store.
