Bottom Line:
Lately i bought a pair of Bose 301 Mk2 in perfect condition. I must say that my Studiocraft 220 (manufactured by bose as well) sound better than the 301's particularly in the upper frequency range.

Bottom Line:
this was not good speaker spent almost five hundred dollars on these speakers and they were not a good value. They give good mid range yet otherwise worth less. Went on to put these as side surround speakers and up graded quickly to a pair of sony speakers I got off e bay for 40 dollars much better sound. The do not work well. Heard for years how great bose was and it was not a truth. will not make this mistake again.

Musical Paradise MP-301 Mk2 SET - sounds like a steal at $260

The new MP-301 Mk2 SET was just introduced in March and is said to be much improved over the 301 which was a well received little flea amp. The new version's class A power is increased to 6.5 wpc meaning it will drive more speakers than one might think. Tube rolling will be fun as it will take quite ... Read More »

Which amplifier goes with Bose 301 V speakers?

Hi all, I was looking for new speakers to use with my computer, as I recently moved. Before, I used a Sony all-in-one system with fairly decent speakers in stead of a typical small speaker set for PCs. Now, since the speakers of the Sony system didn't provide good sound anymore (as I played them ... Read More »

I bought them at a very good price "I thought". I hooked them up and they sounded ok but at closer inspection I noticed that someo ... Read More »

Getting the most out of Bose 301 Speakers

Hi, I have recently received two new 301 BOSE speakers. I have placed them according to instructions (roughly 2.5 meters away from each other, on a shelf, ±50cm from the wall). My room is 30sqm. They are connected to a KR-A4080 Kenwood Receiver (which is ±10 years old). The sound is ok (tried ... Read More »
