Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Belgium

Summary:

used equipment:

N.A.D C520 CD-player, Rotel RA-931 mk2 Amp.
interlink: QED Quinex2, cable: copper.

I use this speakers in my bedroom next to me, they sound very good with a large range of music.

Listening to Soulwax (not true audiophile music), a Belgium band, is very realistic and exciting, Pixies, Primus, Echo and the Bunnymen.. the same.

The mid-low cone is a metal made one, you can hear the difference cleary with kevlar and others, I prefer this.

In a tiny room with good (budget or not) equipement this speakers sing, at this price it's difficult to find better.

Price in euro.

Strengths:

Excellent solution in small places.
Forget listening to record-qualilty, just listen to music

Weaknesses:

The strong points implicate their weakness (e.g. large rooms, listening at very high levels).

Similar Products Used:

B&W CDM 1NT, Dynaudio Audience 40, Linn Kan mk4, Mission 732, B&W 601 mk1,
Linn Katan.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
