Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Sams Club

Summary:
It is very interesting, the model number of the unit states that it is a MP2000 but then MP3 Player has 64MB of memory built in, according to the website states that it is the MP2100. If this is a fluke, then I am quite pleased. And you can go and purchase this product from the sams club website.

As it is the winter in Toronto, I am using a pair of Sony headphones that cover your entire ear. And the funny part is that the headphones are heavier than the MP3 player.

Strengths:
Very light and easy to operate

Weaknesses:
This particular model has a parallel port interface, so the average tranfser rate to the device is 150kb/s...not bad, but not as fast as a USB interface.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $210.00 from pc richards

Summary:
Very good product, with ok customer service although it uses yesterdays technology, and has a very low noise to sound ratio (still sounds good to me though). It's small, durable, lightweight but for the money your better off getting the Rave MP-2200 model which has all the features this one doesnt (see review below, he's really rating the 2200 series). Overall the 2000 series is great, if the price would come down, which is what I would expect after the holidays, considering the 2200 model kicks it's ass.

Strengths:
Easy set up, small, stylish, pretty decent features.

Weaknesses:
No backlit screen, only holds about 15 songs stock, still uses parallel port plug instead of USB, low noise to sound ratio 70, when it should at least be 80.

Similar Products Used:
None.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Online

Summary:
I recently purchased the Rave 2200 Mp3 and it was the best deal ever. It does everything the Nomad II does but it allows for an additional 64mb of storage. It has an FM tuner, 20 Preset, Built in mic with 6 hours of voice storage. Its very small and you can take it anywhere. It has a fast usb connection with very simple to use software. It reads the ID Tags from each mp3 and scrolls it on the screen. It has a wired remote for easy access. The player runs off of only 1 AA battery and has 10 hours of playback time. The only downside to this player is that it doesn't have a backlit LCD screen and there is no belt clip. But other than that its the best Mp3 player with 64 megs of storage.

Strengths:
Small, Upgradeable, Handy

Weaknesses:
No Backlit LCD, No Belt Clip

Similar Products Used:
Portable CD Player

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
