I bet many people have been waiting for new players from Samsung company and now finally, after so much time of anticipation and excitement, Samsung Galaxy Player came out!!!
It was a difficult job to find it, but finally I got and would like to share my feedback about it with you. I was waiting for it to come out for so long so now it seems absolutely impossible I am holding it in my hands^^))
The first thing I noticed when I grabbed it, it is not that heavy as I was thinking – it’s not going to be a big burden if you want to go out light-handed so to say)) Was expecting it to have several colors or at least changeable panels but Samsung decided to leave classic while with silver palette which looks completely modern and light. Volume button on the left is very convenient – I manage to regulate the volume very easily from my pocket. Mic is on the right side – and it is obvious you cannot use it as a cell phone though Galaxy Player looks like one.
Android based player is good for more than 200,000 potential applications you can download using Android Market. Of course, it has many built-in standard applications like Maps, YouTube, Talk, Google Mail, 2M Camera, ThinkFree Office and many others. Just make sure to download Facebook, MSN, Skype, news and weather widgets – you life will become more convenient. Don’t worry about Internet connection: because this player has Wi-Fi module it will connect automatically to the closest Wi-Fi network available. Galaxy Player also has GPS module which is an innovation among music players, but has a great implementation in the future.
Another very important thing about this player is sound quality. Introduces in earlier Q and U series new SoundAlive function seems to be improved for more advanced sounding. Really didn’t hear anything like that before!!! – just make sure you have good mics. Galaxy player supports a wide range of media formats, including MP3, OGG, AAC, M4A, WAV audio and MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, DivX and XviD video.
In general I am very very satisfied with Galaxy Player – this is a slick modern sophisticated music player which, as I think, will become a 2011 hit!
Last December my previous player Samsung Q2 died…well, it was accidentally broken by…me))) Anyway, since that time I was looking for a new mp3-player (better, of course). A new Android 2.1-based G50 caught my eye while surfing on the Internet. I think because of its design and characteristics.
My NY present was decided immediately! Now I’ve been using it for more than one week, and so far I have only positive emotions. Its 3.2” TFT screen is quite colorful and bright – screen size 240X400 is enough to watch my favorite movies and dramas, lol) Just make sure you aren’t using it in a bright sunlight)))).
I think the most important thing why I bought this player is its Wi-Fi module! Just imagine a pmp with Wi-Fi you can use anywhere where network is available. I just turn it on and it scans for available networks automatically and connects to the strongest open network, so I don’t need to connect it manually. Browser is intuitively simple so using it is not a problem. QWERTY-keyboard for writing messages and e-mails, as well as for social networks. And this is what I absolutely LOVE about it – I can be always connected to my favorite Facebook!!!!!! All you need is to install necessary application from Android Market (be sure to install lots of useful applications from Android Market) and voila! I am sure many would use it only for games, so far I have only two games))
2M camera is taking nice pictures, not really blurred! And you can share them with your friends immediately using Facebook or Picasa applications, or via Bluetooth. (Oh my! I should spend less time posting my stuff and do my job better). But with this player my life has changed completely – I started to listen to music…constantly!! Geesh^^ G50 sounds amazingly good, I would say a way better than my Q2~ Just enjoy listening to music (G50 packed with good mics). As for its SoundAlive function I don’t use it very often - just made sure it switches automatically to best presets, and forgot it. If you like you can use multiple possibilities for arranging mp3 file sounding according to your preference (BTW, it supports various media formats including MP3, OGG, AAC, M4A, WAV audio and MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, DivX and XviD video). Watching video is my another obsession)))))
There are some more features in this small but absolutely amazing gizmo!)))) Very useful thing is GPS module (in a player! Wow!), FM radio, micro-SD slot for enlarging memory capacity, etc. Accumulator lasts less than official time, and charging it every day a little bit burdensome but this is a price I have to pay to use this powerful device)))))
