Bottom Line: The Eclipse tch828 is the worst piece of electronic crap that was ever on the market. I have tested 15 of these and they all fail within 3 days to 6 months. The company should be sued. I would have rated this item as 0 but 1 was the lowest I could go.

Bottom Line: I would have rated this piece of crap less than a 1 but that was the lowest number they posted. I loved it when it worked, but I have had 20 of these. I AM NOT KIDDING! I have had 20 of them that I got and as each one failed during the first day to the fist month I returned it and exchanged it hoping to get a good one. IT ISN'T POSSIBLE! These are totally worthless players that look great and will fail. The company knows they have "chipset" problems and say the failure rate is "5 percent". They are LYING! If you can get a good one that doesn't fail you have just beaten odds of winning the million dollar lottery. Any who says "they like it" has yet to find out that it will fail. This company needs investigated by an Attorney General for fraud. They are putting out junk and cheating people. This is not legal. Rating for this player is actually 0!

Bottom Line: THE PLAYER SHOULD NOT BE BOUGHT AT ALL! stores that carry it should return it. I had three and two out of three went bad and locked up. Reset won't work, or letting battery go dead and resetting like the company suggested doesn't work. The tech people at Mach/Eclipse technology admit that player has a flaw and it is known to lock up. Something having to do with the chip set. They say the failure rate is only 5 percent, but it is probably much higher. I returned the two that went bad as well as the one still working before it failed and got my money back. In all fairness it is a GREAT player WHEN IT WORKS, but don't count on it lasting if you got a bad one. All players that start with 0904 serial numbers are ones that can go bad according to the company. I was told that players that begin with 0905 or higher are fixed. There is a year warranty and the service people answer the phone fast and are relatively nice. You can return it for a repair if you have a receipt and it hasn't been past a year since purchase. Again this is a great player and I loved for the several days it lasted. You are playing Russian roulette with this one. Good luck getting a good one!
