Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $129.00 from Best Buy, Salem, NH

Summary:
Bought two of these at Christmas, both didn't work! Returned them at Best Buy, 4 months later one of them stops working, same error..."No Disk". Best Buy refuses to replace, I didn't buy their warranty. I wonder if the best buy warranty scam is legal. Sony is charging $77.00 to look at the player, this is just an estimate. Buyer Beware!!!

Strengths:
No skip

Weaknesses:
Poor product.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
This product has great sound output. I bought a Sony discman with the AM/FM tuner before, but the headfone jack stopped working, but i loved the radio feature. This sony has plenty of station pre-sets, and they are easy to program and easy to access. The Hold feature is definately a plus, because if you need to put the discman in a backpack or bag, you really wont want your batteries being dead the next time you want to use it. Its also water resistant, so if your jogging in the rain you dont need to worry about it shorting out. The case has a snapping shut lock, so the top cant open and expose the CD when its not wanted. There is an AVLS feature, that limits the volume so you wont play the music too loud on your ears, but i dont use that and dont know many people that do. It is really handy to have both the CD player and radio combined, so you can quickly switch from one to the other. Say you need to catch the weather, your CD is over, or you radio station went to commercial. With this product, just press one button and you are instantly switched over to where more music awaits you.

I LOVE THIS THING!!!

Strengths:
old feature, water resistant, locking case so the top cant open when its not wanted, great to have both CD and tuner in one, NEVER EVER skips!!

Weaknesses:
the headfones that come with it are horrible if your looking for high quality sound. Its pretty expensive, but it is very high quality. it is kinda bulky, but thats from it being water resistant and having the built in tuner. Other than those minor issues, that arent a problem, this model is flawless

Similar Products Used:
older sony wit Tuner, over 2 years ago, headfone jack shorted out but i loved it until then, so i just had to buy another one!

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
