Summary:
I love this cd player, like the last person said it is very resistant to skips even with ESP off, it looks great, and I haven't had any problems yet except that the lid feels a bit looks in my hand when i walk with it at my side. I like everything about it so much better than the Kenwoods I had and my Panasonic. I just hope it holds up. I cannot give it a 5 star rating until I have had it for close to a year with no problems. Get it with an extended 3 or 4 year warranty because none of them will last that long.

Strengths:
Good shock protections even with ESP off, good sound, good bass level options, good programming features, really good looks

Weaknesses:
lid a little bit loose, groove features distorts headphones even at moderate volumes

Similar Products Used:
4 Kenwood portable cd players that all came with defects from factory, and 1 Panasonic SL-S200 portable cd player.

Summary:
actually the model # for that discman is D-E446CK. For some reason the people that get the car ready Sony discmans are more often happy with their products than the non car ready ones, which leads me to believe that sony puts better quality into its car versions. Many people have had problems with the D-E441 (non car ready) and D-E401 (older non car ready version)

Summary:
I picked up the Sony D-E456CK at Ciruit City for $99. AND WHAT A DEAL! The sound is crisp and clear. The durability is pretty good. It is so easy to use. It has all the features you want. It also comes with a car kit with cassette and cigarette adapter. I didn't know, but it also came with an AC adapter so you can listen without batteries or you can charge up some rechargable batteries. It doesn't skip a beat with 40 seconds ESP2. I was surprised that I didn't even have to use ESP for walking. I turned it off while walking and it still didn't skip. This is a great product! Everyone should go out and buy it and its a great deal! I recommand it to anyone!

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
