Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $157.00 from Amazon.com

Summary:
Having tried a Sony D-NE1, a Pansonic SL-CT710, and a Sony D-EJ2000, I finally gave in to what I'd read about the iRiver. Am I glad I did. The quality of this player's sound leaves me wondering why larger companies can't produce such near-audiophile portable equipment. The build quality and feature set leave me wondering if the Sonys & Panasonics even care about providing quality portable CD players anymore. This is the only portable player that I know of that is a match for my Etymotic ER-4P's.

Strengths:
Very transparent More power than most portables Very flat frequency response (I have no need to use the 6 or so EQ settings, as nice as they are) Most of the common accessories are included Excellent remote

Weaknesses:
Radio could be better, but probably not without an antenna other than the phone cable Additional 1400 mAh F8 gumstick batteries are not easy to find in the U.S.

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
