This is without a doubt the BEST addition to my home theater. Although many people are turned off by equilizers, this unit allows you to "fine tune" the acoustics for your listening room. This unit allows the user to increase or decrease the db of most all frequencies to eliminate standing waves, eliminate "boomy" subwoofer output, and drastically increase the quality of sound. Let's face it- almost nobody's room acoustics are perfect. All the major recording studios use equilizers to ensure the best sound possible, so why shouldn't you? I'll pass on fancy cables and other additions that do little or nothing. This unit provides the best "bang for your buck"-PERIOD! This unit deserves a ten but the most I am allowed to give is a five.

Many people will shun this product because it is an equilizer, but if your room dimensions are not perfect, this product allows you to increase the quality of your sound tremendously. It will reduce or emphasize any frequency on any channel to allow perfect symmetry between all speakers and the room environment. It does wonders for "boomy" subwoofers. It allows better timbre match between all front and surround speakers. Forget all the expensive "tweeks" that do little if anything. This provides the most "bang for your buck", period. All the major studios use equilizers when they record to get the best sound possible. Why shouldn't you? I would give it ten stars, but am limited to five.
