from JR Music Summary: Looking for an upgrade to your aging stereo system. Look no further. The Sangean HDT-1 is an excellent HD-Am-FM Tuner. This tuner has excellent sensitivity and selectivity. This tuner outperforms many audiophile tuners by capturiung weak signals and delivering. The HD is noiseless and delivers 1 to 3 extra channels on every station that is brodadcasting HD. The tuner displays RDS text for stations not yet converted to HD, and shows all of this information on a large readout. I have compared this tuner to some of my vintage tuners and it receives stations none of them can. This is a wonderful addition to my stereo system. All for only $ 199.99. Sangean has come through with a winner. This tuner sets the standard for whomever follows through with the next component tuner. The Sangean not only displays text about artist, song, and radio station, but also digital signal strength for aiming your antenna. Strengths: Abiity to pull in weak stations from considerable distance. Excellent sensitivity and selectivity. No interference from near-by stations. Large display viewable from anywhere in the room. Weaknesses: Remote control is credit card sized. Similar Products Used: None on the market for less than $ 900.00
