Strength:

crisp and open sound

Weakness:

a bit tricky in tuning

Our Creek T 40 is in use for more than 15 jears now. Since we have moved a complete revision of our stereo equipement had to be done. The Creeks now (back) in the kitchen do an excellent job. The T 40, around 15 jears old ist still a goodie. Good reception of FM Stations and a crisp, musical sound. Our favourite Station (WDR5) ist still uncompressed, far better in terms of thau what thy do and how they do it (in Germany there is still high quality Radio (like BBC) finaced by a little tax, we all have to pay).
If you are looking for a FM-Radio, the 40 may be a good choice. After all the years a change of the filtering cap should be done. I've choosen a (DNM) slit foil cap that bettered the output very much, so that te T40 came much closer to the perfomance of the Revox B760 (still a reference in FM Radios) we use in the living room.
The connection between Tuner and Amp is a (DNM) solid core cable with the cheep lookig plasic (DNM) connectors, very few material (and money), but open and musical sounding.
